The U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour is the top junior event tour in the country. The event brings together athletes across the country to identify the top juniors. Halfpipe and slopestyle athletes 13 and older (SBX 15 and older) compete together in an open-class event. The Revolution Tour is also used to qualify athletes for World Juniors, U.S. Open, U.S. World Cup, USASA Nationals and Project Gold camps.
Membership Requirements:
All Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitors National USSA Membership (HP/SS only). All SBX competitor must hold a current National USSA Membership and a FIS license. Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitors must be 13 by December 31, 2008 and SBX competitors must be 15 by December 31, 2008. Memberships may not be purchased onsite; memberships must be purchased at least two weeks prior to the event.
Event Sanctioning:
The Revolution Tour is a USSA sanctioned event. The Revolution Tour halfpipe and slopstyle are a part of the Ticket To Ride World Tour (3 star event). Snowboardcross is a FIS sanctioned event.
Registration Process:
All registrations must be processed through the online registration system. General online registration opens October 22, 2008 at 9:00AM (PST). Pre-qualified riders must register online between Oct. 6 -19 for all events they plan to compete in. After Oct. 19 all unconfirmed spots will be added to the open registration pool.
Pre-qualified rider invite emails will be sent to athletes on October 3, 2008. This email will contain all information you will need for registration. For non-qualified athletes, open registration will open on October 22 at 9:00AM (PST). Register Online
Waitlist:
Once each event is full, a waitlist will not be started until the first day of onsite registration. Waitlists will be on a first-come, first serve basis at the first day of onsite event registration. For expample: 1:00pm on January 13 in the registration room for the Copper Revolution Tour events.
Pre-Qualified Rider Criteria:
The 2008-2009 Revolution Tour has adopted criteria to pre-qualify a portion of the field into each event. All pre-qualified athletes must register online between October 6 - 19, 2008 for all events they plan to compete in. After this date all unconfirmed spots will be added to the open registration pool. Refund Policy:
Entry fees will be refunded only to riders with a valid medical/travel reason under the following provisions:
Entry fees will be refunded if requested two weeks prior to first day of event onsite registration. Participants must have a valid medical/travel reason and each case will be reviewed. Riders may be required to provide proof of medical excuse and each case will be reviewed.
A $10 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. All refunds are at the sole discretion of each host resort.

Overall Tour Winner: Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Snowboardcross (men/women)
Overall Tour Winner – top over male and female from Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Snowboard cross will each receive $1,000
Competition Format: approx. 40 Women, 80 men per discipline

Judging Format- Overall Impression
Qualifiers:
· Two heats of 40 men
· One heat of 30 women
· 5 judges will score each rider using OI
· Riders will be randomly seeded into heats
· Best one out of two runs. Start order women then men
· Same start order for the second run as the first
Finals
· Top 12 men/ 6 women advance to Finals – top 5 from each men’s heat and top 2 overall will advance to finals, top 6 from the women’s heat will advance to finals.
Snowboardcross
Qualification
· All Riders will take two runs – women then men.
· The best of two runs will determine the qualification ranking
· The top 16 men and women will be seeded by FIS points, the remaining riders will be randomly seeded.
· The top 32 men / 16 women will qualify for the Finals.
Finals
· Riders will be placed into the heats based on their best qualifying run.
· The top 32 men / 16 women will qualify for the Finals.
· 4 riders will start per heat.
· Single elimination format shall be used, two riders advancing from each heat.
· Lane selection in each heat will be based on riders time from the Timed Trials (best time selects lane first….second best time next….and so on).
Rider Meetings:
All athletes must be represented at the rider meeting. Rider meetings are typically held the night before each event. Athletes may be removed from the start list if they are not represented at the rider meeting. Check event schedules for times and locations.
