Beyond the Snow

The USSA is as concerned about your personal and professional development as it is with your athletic accomplishments. We are aware of the challenges that today's athletes face when dealing with the demands placed upon them as a member of the U.S. Ski Team or U.S. Snowboarding.

Expectations are high and at times it may seem overwhelming to balance your training and competition schedule with your desire to earn a degree, research career opportunities, or to develop an action plan for your retirement. To assist athletes in identifying helpful resources that will better prepare them for life after their athletic career is over, Beyond the Snow: The USSA Elite Athlete Education Program was created.

All of the programs discussed here are completely funded by donations to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. The Foundation is the non-profit, fundraising arm of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.
